Agile Methodology – Daily Stand-ups

Stand-ups are brief check-ins between teams and their managers. This is an excellent way to monitor daily progress and identify roadblocks as soon as possible. Stand-ups also help reduce the number of meetings that need to be held each week, freeing up time to get more work done.

There are three core components to stand-ups…

Progress – Explain what each team member plans on doing today and give details on any projects at hand

Plan – Disclose their plan for the following day. This helps to see if everyone’s plate of work is manageable.

Problem – Let everyone know if there are any roadblocks or obstructions that could prevent them from reaching their goals and deadlines.
